I'm thinking the Phillies, on average will be laying roughly 250 every game. Thoughts on taking the Phillies over 96.5 wins for the season, and betting $300 against them every game (or until they reach the over)? Even if they win 110 games you're still in the black.

250 every game is a big stretch. maybe against pittsburgh, houston and washington but when they go against st. louis, san francisco, san diego, los angeles and then santana and jimenez they will be underdogs many times on the road.

i am not sure of their interleague schedule but if they play boston or the yankees they will road dogs at times as well.

their offense is just not that strong to be 250 on average.

czar, very good points. interleague is; tex, @ sea, oak, bos, @ tor. I don't see the Phils winning more than 91-94 range... simply because of hitting. pitching will only take them so far... Even if the projected avg is +150 or +170 for dogs, I'm still for it.

No reason we can't win 100+ games. Don't discount the importance of a sold out home Citizens Bank Park EVERY SINGLE GAME OF THE YEAR. This gives us a huge advantage over alot of other ballclubs including the Skankees! :toast:
